BYD Achieves Record Export Volume in Q1 2025
BYD has exported over 120,000 vehicles in the first quarter of 2025, marking a 65% year-over-year increase driven by strong demand in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

BYD, China's leading electric vehicle manufacturer, has achieved a remarkable milestone by exporting over 120,000 vehicles in the first quarter of 2025. This represents a 65% increase compared to the same period last year.
The surge in exports has been primarily driven by strong demand in Southeast Asia, particularly in Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia, where BYD has established local assembly plants. The Middle East market, led by the UAE and Saudi Arabia, has also shown significant growth.
Key models driving exports include the BYD Han EV, Seal, and Atto 3, which have gained popularity for their competitive pricing and advanced battery technology. The company's Blade Battery technology continues to be a major differentiator in international markets.
BYD's CEO Wang Chuanfu stated that the company aims to export 500,000 vehicles by the end of 2025, with plans to enter 10 new markets across Africa and South America.
